Bolt.diy vs Bolt.new

@mynameisdavidwalters
Hi David.

Take a look at a post I completed a couple of days ago. Out of frustration I thought I’d do some comparisons to different models using a single prompt but slightly tougher than “Make me a coffee”.

This particular prompt worked very well on Bolt.new and yes my experience there was way better in the short term. But, even after spending $40 in tokens there, ended up with some circular errors it couldn’t resolve. Had to roll-back several hours of work more than once and ended up in the same position again. And, let me be quite open and honest here. Support at Bolt.new is non existent.

Sure, I was learning how to work the tool and getting frustrated at the same time. But this is ground breaking tech and you’d be insane not to get excited about it. That means digging-in when things get tough. Look around and use resources to learn where you might be going wrong, ask questions and read a lot. Get “Curious”…

@ColeMedin I’m sure Col has heard this also. Out of 5 or so PR’s raised and multiple emails to support, I received one response and that wasn’t from ‘her’ personal Stackblitz account - so the ‘promise’ of support was lost in the possibly thousands of emails they’re getting daily to ‘hello@stackblitz.com’. - actually… I’ve just checked and I received a proper response 2hrs ago. I started asking for support 1st Dec 2024. At least here I’ve received amazing support from @aliasfox Michael and @leex279 Thomas. Thanks guys - pure gold.

end rant :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Take a look at this post and see if it helps at all - please let me know.

Comparing providers and models - it’s just a guide but there’s some good advice there also.

The guys are working around the clock to improve this product. Be patient and stay curious… :innocent:
