I wanted to add a favicon and a logo to my project and figured out that this it not very easy within bolt right now, because it can no take images from input and just put in the project directory. Instead it creates useless dummy files.
Is there a way to get it in properly without doing it external and then reimport the folder/git again with a new chat/session?
currently non binary files doesnât get imported in during the import/git option. thats a limitation right now⌠but we are working on making that work.
Be civil please. Both their english usage is pretty good considering itâs not either of their first language. And I think you know exactly what he was referring to.
Picture and music files canât be handled until we have an enhancement developed and delivered. I believe itâs in the RoadMap and was discussed last week during deployments review.
Would you like me to share the RoadMap and deployments summary with you here?
Shawn, I wanted to address this to you personally. As a non-native English speaker, I want to clarify that my intent was not to offend or cause misunderstanding. When I mentioned âin English,â I was referring to simplifying terms, not grammar or anything else.
One of the goals of tools like Bolt and Lovable etc is to empower non-technical users to build projects.
However, one of the frustrations within the community is that advanced users often use complex technical language, which makes the discussions less helpful for those of us who are trying to decipher and understand this âlanguage.â I was not referring to anyones english language abilities/grammar or their background or competence thereof and thats why i put it in quotations.
When ome is presented with a seemingly complex technical term or answer and one asks âcan you say that in englishâ it means please simplify.
I think the way things are written and the lens via which one t interprets them can sometimes lead to miscommunication. I feel you may have misunderstood my intent.
@mitchiem thanks for your thoughts. I understand that fully and at least I try to describe thinks easily.
However, the project bolt.diy is still in a very early state which is not comparable with the other tools which are full optimized for a specific task and tied to specific frameworks.
We are still in a phase where we as a community need to define how this product should work, which features, how optimized to specific models, etc.
I hope we can provide a more detailed plan for the future/roadmap soon, so everyone know what to expect from bolt.diy and what not.
Thanks for the clarification Mitchie and Iâm sure you can see how it could have been taken also.
I agree on your point about the platform should be simplifying the process and for now thereâs limitations on the amount of âMagicâ it can perform. Still needs development and setting those expectations to users and what they are trying to achieve up front is important to the experience.
Iâd say if youâre pationate about using the platform. Get involved, read lots of others issues amd understand where things are at. Take a look at the Roadmap and review some of the enhancement requests also. Itâs early days but if you stay curious, youâll be rewarded.
Depends normally just on the external website you use. If you got one and take always from there, it should always work with this. Cause it depends if this url has set the correct headers for their response.
