Supabase MCP for n8n

Has anyone successfully set up an MCP for SuperBase in n8n? I’m trying to set it up now but I think my args are not set correctly. Here’sa screenshot of my setup. Let me know if I have that setup correctly. Thank you!

What error do you get?

Failed to execute operation: Failed to connect to MCP server: MCP error -32000: Connection closed

Did you see this: Setting up Supabase MCP, there has to be a way! - Questions - n8n Community ? Looks like its a problem of the MCP server.

I didn’t see that, but thank you. I will take it a look now.

Looks like the issue with Supabase MCP server was resolved for the AI IDEs like Windsurf and Cursor, but it’s still not functioning in n8n as of yet.

I did post a comment in that thread you sent me, so hopefully somebody else will have some better news. Maybe my configuration is not correct.

I think you miss --access-token, but also with this I get the same error as you:

ah mom, I did not update my n8n docker, so the fix is not in, which was released 7h ago.

Okay, that’s good to know. I’ll run an update right now, and hopefully that takes care of the issue.

Also running, but takes forever  … dont know whats up there

Update: its done, but I still get the error

Unfortunately, I’m getting the same error as well.

I did change my configuration so it matched yours.

Wait, we didnt get the latest version. maybe the docker containers are not ready for the newest version:

its 1.87.1

I am confused, they did the fixes anyway on the 1.86.1 you got

But seems to be correct then

Or maybe there’s something with the configuration we’re not doing correctly?

ahh it works. our config is wrong. the key needs to be directly in the command and not in the environment field:
