Localhost running...free OpenRouter LLMs, but still errors?

I finally got Bolt.diy install and running.
Now, localhost running…free OpenRouter Deepseek V3 LLMs, but still errors?
I have added my API keys on the “frontend” but don’t see where to add them on the settings or anywhere else, so errors.

hi @getkwikr247,

did you buy credits within your Deepseek account? You need to spent some real money, otherwise the API is not working.

you can also switch to the main branch, cause there is improved logging since 2 days, if you want to test it out.

Okay…lol
I guess the word “Free” now-a-days mean ‘some money’.
Thanks!

BTW - How do I switch to the ‘main branch’?
Does that mean a reinstall or is that a switch I turn on?

This setting is a bit confusing, how I find. It just enables checking if the main branch would have updates. Think we may change this in the future.

To actual change the branch, go to your bolt.diy folder in terminal and do:
git pull
then
git checkout main
then run again as before

I think the free is just if you use their inbuild chat, but I am not sure as I dont use it.

Are there any free models I can use for free to effectively test out *.diy?

Yes, Google Gemini 2.0, as shown in the video you dont like (Minute 13:16)

So…just tried it.
That last task…highlighted on the left has been spinning now for 10mins.
Create src/App.jsx

Looks like it hang up then.

Either create a new chat or try refreshing this page (F5 or CTRL/CMD+R).

But API connection is working
