honestly you are probably fine (you definitely won’t get sued). Especially if you are not using it in a commercial context.
The ethical part is up to you but I think as long as you aren’t using it to mass train commercial LLM’s it is ok

This question goes more towards organisers @ColeMedin on making sure with literal terms in Participant Agreement:
"4. Intellectual Property Ownership and License
a. Ownership
Participants retain ownership of their Submissions and all associated intellectual property rights.
b. License to Event Organizer
By submitting your project, you grant the Event Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable, sublicensable license to:
(i) Use, reproduce, modify, publicly display, commercialize, or distribute the Submission for purposes related to and outside of the promotion, evaluation, and showcasing of the Event.
(ii) Showcase your Submission on platforms such as the Organizer’s website, social media, and marketing materials.
c. Third-Party Rights
If your Submission includes third-party content (e.g., open-source tools, datasets), you must comply with the applicable licenses and disclose usage."
