Hey - I am in the same boat - I’m not a coder and not technical at all. I think there is a problem with installing on Windows but wonderwhy.er has provided a fix which still needs to go into the main branch.

I can say that I have managed to get things up and running using wonderwhy.er fork so it’s a great place have bit of a play around (I have already built a simple to do webapp - lol.
Here is my top tip: I got the transcript from wonderwhy.er video and gave that to ChatGPT and asked for step by step instructions for a novice with no coding experience and it’s working for me

Ouh super good approuch leigheds!
Can you share a link to your conversation, I will pin it to that video and people here can benefit

At the same time, what do you get locally you do not get in hosted version

I am thinking to go in direction of hosted version to remove all that pain of local installs.
There is other options of packaging it as local app too, though I like hosted direction better.

Thanks @wonderwhy.er

Here is a link to my ChatGPT conversation. Hope other non coders / tech newbies like me can benefit.

I quite like your idea of hosting oTToDev rather than having it all on my laptop but I have no idea how to do that or how I would be able to update my hosted version or how much hosting would cost etc, so using it locally for now will do. Perhaps you can do a YouTube Video on how to host it.

I don’t know how to code but have always wanted to learn (I do work for a software development company as a product manager), and I think oTToDev is definitely going to help me on my learning journey.

Thanks again to everyone who contributes to this amazing project

Thank you! I have watched quite a few of your YouTube videos… I will be installing bolt.diy, with the work around locally from tomorrow (second attempt)…

If hosting, what are the best platforms and how much do they cost? And could you automate updates?

Currently easiest to host in is cloudflare and its free

No automated updates yet.
But its combinaton of
Git pull
Npm run deploy

Thank You!

That is fantastic! Which video tutorial would you recommend for setting up on Cloudflare?

You are a legend!
