Maybe if Cole could pin the “Tutorials and Resources” to the main category on the left as standard?
Its possible to customise oneself under Categories, but new people won’t know what. I also find that its an important section that should automatically be pinned at the top.

Main thing is I want to avoid having too many default categories, but I can certainly see tutorials/resources being one of them.

How do the News & Trends and Tutorials and Resources categories differ regarding research papers?
For example, if I write a post summarizing a recent paper published on arXiv, where does that belong?
News and Trends

Great question! News and Trends is more for recent things while Guides and Resources is meant more for anything educational, even if it isn’t based on some hot topic. I’d put your post in the News and Trends category!
