Help Request: What’s Your Bolt.diy Workflow?
Hi everyone! I’m a regular Bolt.diy user working primarily with DeepSeek, and I love the concept of this tool. However, I’m running into constant reliability issues that are making development frustrating.
What I’m Experiencing
Common Issues:
-
Preview pane frequently fails (blank screens, crashes)
-
Project duplication creates broken copies even from working projects
-
Random build failures on simple tasks
-
Files not saving properly or dependencies not installing
These aren’t complex projects - just basic React components, HTML pages, or simple duplications. What should be 5-minute tasks become 30-minute debugging sessions… and this repeats over and over again.
I frequently use the prompt enhance feature and take a methodical, step-by-step approach to building. But even single-page sites are becoming MAJOR issues and time hogs. Every. Single. Time.
I’m honestly baffled how anyone is successfully building with this tool. The examples and showcases look amazing, but I can’t see how they were actually created without hitting these constant roadblocks.
What I’m Looking For
Please share your experiences:
-
Are you facing similar issues? Or is this just me?

Project setup and duplication
-
Preview pane issues
-
Dependency management
-
Basic troubleshooting
-
-
Any workarounds? What tricks have you discovered to make Bolt.diy more reliable?
-
Which AI models work best? I use DeepSeek - curious about others’ experiences with different models.
-
Project complexity? What level of projects work reliably for you?
Quick Fixes I’ve Tried
-
Hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R)
-
Clear cache before/after duplication
-
Reinstall dependencies from scratch
-
Check browser console for errors
Why I’m Asking
I genuinely want this tool to work - the potential is incredible when it functions properly. But I’m spending more time fighting the platform than actually developing.
Are others actually building successfully with Bolt.diy? How?
I see all these amazing examples and showcases, but I genuinely can’t understand how they were created without hitting these constant technical barriers. You haven’t seen these issues? What am I missing?
Thanks for any insights or shared experiences!
