Bolt.diy frozen on GCP VM

I set up bolt.diy on a Google Cloud Platform virtual machine with 16 gb ram. It’s running in a docker container and i can get to the bolt.diy page. When I put in a prompt, it replies in the chat window with a report of what it had “done” and how to implement it. However, no files appear in the code section and it says “Create package.json” and just keeps spinning. This seems like a permissions issue but I can’t see where it’s trying to create files. This vm is a debian linux machine. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Hi @bp.realinvest,

please check your terminal where you run bolt from and also the dev-console for errors.

Also which model/provider you used?

On which branch you are? The current main branch has extended logging for terminal and could bring more insights, whats going wrong.

Hi Brent

Try Google with Gemini Flash 2.0. I found many of the other smaller LLM’s will only create the code and not try and deploy this into file structure and issue server commends to fire the environment up. ie - no preview.
