I think a lot of people have been having issues with Deepseek API directly, which is why I just use Openrouter myself (a hub for compute where you can manage many models with one account).
Anything, another thing to note is that OpenAI, Anthropic, Deepseek (directly) require payment processing to be setup.
But your issue is the API itself and not Bolt.diy per se.
so does your Openrouter free of charges?
Yes and no. They provide free credits to start and many Free models (but not always reliable because some are old trials offered by providers I believe)…
But they do charge for others, though the prices are the best I have found, minus a processing fee… which you can kind of mitigate by having a rotating balance of say $50-$100 (which not only reduces the amount of transactions paying fees but also lowers the rate).

Sure, I did only 2 dollars to test, but if you dont want to spent money, you can also use Google as Provider with Gemini Models like 2.0 Flash.
