Its true, this Collab will give visibility to both sides. I just wanted to know if stack-blitz has made any commitment towards bolt.diy. I don’t think they have time to focus on bolt.diy but if they help in any way(pouring in resources, PRs, and support) it will be beneficial to us.
If you guys are incharge of maintaining this repo than i am pretty sure that bolt.diy will have great future!!!
They do commit a bit, its bit unclear how much yet.
But they will not block us too.
So for now, things continue as they did.
Thanks @wonderwhy.er for chiming in here and I can share my thoughts too!

My primary motivation behind this partnership is the visibility we get from this and this being solidified as the best and official open source Bolt.new is what is going to bring the most success to this project and community in my mind! And I can already tell the whole atmosphere around this project has changed in a day for the better - it’s really starting to feel less like a hobby project and more like we are actually building the best open source AI coding assistant! Lot of other benefits to this partnership too because they will be financially supporting things like events (more on that later), bringing in their open source experts, etc.

Yeah so we will be sharing ideas between Bolt.new and Bolt.diy! And there are two StackBlitz employees who are open source experts who will be coming on to help us make the repo a lot more mature!
-
To me this isn’t really a risk because worst case scenario if they actually have bad intentions (which after hours of conversations with them I can say they do not) and lock down the repo, I’ll just recreate it and we’ll move along! Obviously would sting but we wouldn’t actually lose anything. And I am still an admin on the repo as the lead maintainer and will continue to be!

Yes!
Thank you very much!
That was one of the main points that StackBlitz brought up when we were discussing working together. We were making clear that it was important to the community to be able to develop what they wanted, and their answer was that they understood and that is the beauty of Open Source, it can always be forked. It’s kind of hard to argue with that. But I can tell you that they understand the dynamics of why this community is working and why their fork was not experiencing the rapid enhancement rate that we were. They don’t want to go backwards I’m sure.
This is likely to ramp up the stars on the GitHub repo and the size of the community. I know Bolt.New hasn’t had much activity in a while (last updated ~2 months ago), but it be nice if they added an excerpt on their README.md for Bolt.diy.
Congrats! This is a huge deal and I am sure we will see huge heights for Bolt.diy
YIPPEEEEEE. So nice to hear
Absolutely, it doesn’t seem like they have any negative intentions. Moreover, the entire community has complete trust in you guys. We are confident that you will never compromise on such crucial matters
I appreciate that @grk9993!
