there are some people working on such stuff, see e.g. Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration
As far as I understood this is something we need to change the complete architecture of bolt.diy and maybe implement new from scratch, so I would guess, this would be then a new major release, with a new codebase and nothing you see in new releases step by step (I am also not that deep in this stuff).
@mrsimpson can tell more about it I guess
